Heartspring
Prepared for Dan and the Heartspring team · October 2026

Neurodevelopment has always been at the heart of our mission.

Beginning in 1934 as the Institute of Logopedics, Heartspring has continued to evolve, but the focus on childhood neurodevelopmental care has remained unchanged.

Now Heartspring is moving forward with a new center downtown, built around neurodevelopment. This isn’t a departure from who we are. It has been at the heart of our mission from the start.

01  Why now

The work has always been here.
Now it has a center.

Evolving the brand to a center for clinical expertise.

Heartspring is building its next chapter, carrying forward the heart of its commitment to children and families.

The new Center for Pediatric Neurodevelopment will bring specialized clinical care, clinical training and applied research under one roof.

As Heartspring moves forward with this new center, the logo needs to evolve with it. It has to show what Heartspring does and has always done: neurodevelopmental care, with the heart at the center of it.

The familiar heart shape is the starting point for a renewed identity. It keeps what people already recognize and carries it into the next chapter.

Inside the film

03  The idea

A brain shaped by hearts.

Starting from a familiar shape, the heart, we turn a new page on a journey of nearly 100 years, centering on where Heartspring has always been focused on: neurodevelopmental care. The heart remains and the form evokes the brain, a direct expression of neurodevelopmental care and the people at its center. Childhood care sits at the center of it, and that is the spark.

05  Color theory

Where knowledge meets warmth.

As the heart folds and connects, the blues represent clinical knowledge while the oranges bring the warmth of human care. Together, they reflect how expertise and relationships support one another.
